In this context, Murat Selvi, Chairman of the Board of Aveon Sigorta Cyprus and Board Member of the TRNC Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Association, attended the 5th International Insurance Summit alongside the association’s board delegation. Held on October 8 at the Istanbul Financial Center Ziraat Bank Auditorium, the summit centered on the theme “From Risk to Resilience: Insurance on the Path to COP31.”

Bringing together prominent leaders from the global insurance industry, the summit addressed the impacts of climate change on underwriting, global risk management, financial resilience, and sustainability. Discussions highlighted that the insurance sector extends far beyond claims settlement, serving a strategic purpose in anticipating risks, promoting proactive solutions, and fortifying macroeconomic resilience.

Aveon Sigorta also expanded its international engagements across the Turkic World. Following its inaugural gathering in Shusha, Azerbaijan, the 2nd General Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Association was hosted in Gaziantep, Türkiye, under the theme “Harmonization, Resilience, and a Shared Future in Insurance Regulation.” Murat Selvi represented the TRNC Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Association delegation at this landmark event.

Dedicated to harmonizing insurance regulations, enhancing sectoral resilience, and charting a common future vision, the assembly served as an important platform for exchanging expertise and evaluating collaborative opportunities in legislation and practice across the Turkic world.
